Perfect V2 Preamp Tube!! Great Dynamics - Low Noise - Warm Tone!!>

The TAD ECC83 WA Selected provides a stunning warm tone, thick midrange and sweet natural harmonics. We designed it with a triple mica construction for low noise performance. Perfect for clean or moderate gain preamps as well as for high-gain amps from V2 position (for V1/Input stage the HIGHGRADE selection RT080 is recommended). Its great dynamics, low noise operation and balanced warm tone make the TAD ECC83 WA to be an excellent all-rounder with great value for money.

The TAD ECC83WA Premium Selection is recommended for most applications for low microphony performance. For especially demanding input stages (V1) and for all applications demanding an extremely low microphony 7025 / ECC83 / 12AX7A type tube we recommend the RT080 TAD 7025WA HIGHGRADE.

For "normal" applications the RT008 TAD ECC83 WA Selected can be used with same sound and gain structure.

which is better for v2,v3 for high gain tone

these one or rt001

TAD: for V2 the RT008 is my(!) first pick; if V3 is the phase driver then I'd pick the RT001; if V3 is also a gain stage then the RT008. Finally this is a very personal matter. Take one each and try position for position to find YOUR preferred blend.

Received a trio of TAD ECC83WA pre's for my birthday for my Bugera 1990. Man what an upgrade! Just as the description says, Smooth highs with thick tight mids and lows. Really brought a good sounding amp to life. No more spikey highs and loose lows and mids. I could not be more satisfied.

Pulled that ECC83WA from my Blackstar S1 (stock tube) and plugged into V1 Fender Blues Deluxe and ..... WOW !!!

All there! Relaxed cleans and fat crunch in drive mode. A new dimension compared to that stock Fender 12AX7WA tube.

Would give 6 stars if possible. Thanks TAD!

Exactly as TAD says.

I got this one for my 5e3 kit. Having other ECC83 and 12AX7 at home, I did a round-up looking for the best match, but finally came back to the TAD ECC83WA. It provides the sweetest tone, vivid mids and reduced but very grity distortion that fits perfectly to my tweed. I will definitaly give a try for this tube in my next build.

Note: The highs are getting a bit harsher passed around 80-90% volume...that's for me its maximum sweet zone. Not shure how it sound in high gain amp, but for low gain application, I really recommend it.

i just received those tubes matching in pairs at home and put them in my 5021 TL Audio ivory comp.

it's astonished i just couldn't believe that it was my gear!!

the answer is smooth and powerful.it fits perfectly the TL Audio comp and there is nothin' more to add.

just one thing: the TAD tube amp team is the most professionnal and relable i know .and i would not buy anywhere else.you can always ask what you want and get a very very reliable answer.

more than this the people there are very nice and gentle.and that's not only business.they are whta you get!! which is becoming very rare in music business!!!
