You can fine-tune the distortion level using your guitar's volume knob (this is the RANGE effect), while the Balls control adjusts the bass response. The biggest advantage of the TAD pedal is that it preserves your amp’s original tone — even with heavy overdrive, your guitar stays clear and transparent.
