How does a capacitor work and how does it affect sound?
We encounter small components, like capacitors, everywhere, but what do they actually do? In essence, the capacitor is a small storage device that can store electrical charge. The faster and more lossless the capacitor can perform this transformation, the more lively and plastic the sound becomes. By directly intervening in the signal chain, each one slightly alters the audio output, thus the end result of the signal chain. In conjunction with the remaining components, they can therefore influence and modify the playback and sound of the system.
