Question

Can I safely plug a 2-prong power cord from my vintage amp into the step down transformer?

TAD: depends on the device you want to connect. A 2-prong has no safety grounding! Only safety class 2 devices can be operated safely without grounding. Vintage US amplifiers with a 2-prong power cord must be furnished with a new 3-prong power cord to allow save operation.

Question

I have a US fender 65 reissue amp which I need to use in the UK. Will this work? If so, does it come with a UK plug? Thanks!

Technically it would work, but our step-down transformers do come with Schuko-Plug cable only as shown in the picture. So you would need to use a UK adapter or get a cable with UK-plug and standard IEC jack which should be easily available in the UK.
