In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT030 TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE which is outstanding because of its high gain, low microphonics, powerful mids and rich overtone sound. Played clean, the TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE delivers a warm liquid tone which is very responsive to dynamic playing.

For the second position (V2), we recommend our RT-12AX7 12AX7A/ECC83 TAD Premium Selected.This tube provides for very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response

The following three positions (V3-V5) uses our RT-12AX7 12AX7A/ECC83 TAD Premium Selected. This tube delivers very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response. It works best for clean tones, as well as for sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.

For the power tube section, we recommend a matched quartet of our RT274 EL84-Cz TAD PREMIUM Matched, the muscle man and roughneck among the EL84 models. It gives most amps an extra powerful bass response providing a very dynamic big tone. Our recommendation, if a powerful tone is what you are looking for.
