In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT030 7025/E83CC-JJ HIGHGRADE TAD Premium Selected which is outstanding because of its high gain, but low microphony, powerful mids and a round, rich overtone sound. Played clean, the TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE delivers a warm liquid tone which is very responsive to dynamic playing.

For the following positions (V2 - V5), we recommend our TAD 12AX7/ECC83 REDBASE Premium Selected. This tube delivers very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response. It works best for clean tones, as well as for sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.

For the power tubes, we chose a matched quartet of our RT274 TAD-EL84-Cz Premium Matched. The sound is very harmonic in the middle and treble frequencies, without adding too much power to the bass. The result is the best EL84 in current production.

If you tell us the color code of the Mesa tubes, re-biassing can be avoided.
