In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT070 12AY7/6072A HIGHGRADE TAD Premium Selected, which is outstanding because of its lower gain, the amp get more clean headroom and a smoother tone.

For the following position (V2), we recommend the new RT-12AX7 TAD 12AX7/ECC83 REDBASE Premium Selectedwhich provides a stunning warm tone, thick midrange and sweet natural harmonics. Its low noise performance makes it the perfect choice for clean or moderate gain preamps as well as for high-gain amps.

In (V3) we operate our RT-12AX7 TAD 12AX7/ECC83 REDBASE Premium Selected. This perfectly balanced 12AX7 will allow the output stage to perform at its optimum for smooth tone and definition. The overall responsiveness will be significantly improved by revealing the full dynamic headroom of the amplifier. Tight deep bass, complex lively mids and silky top end with overall definition. When driven to saturation a guitar amp using a TAD TAD 12AX7/ECC83 REDBASE Premium Selected tube will provide its optimum sustain and sounds with harmonic overdrive.

For the power tubes, a pair of our PEN-Tone Class A-Converter works wonders! Class A + Cathode Bias with EL84.

Tone gets more alive, the amp responds more directly and musically. It instantly improves sustain, thickens tone and is adding a "three-dimensional" character with decent compression and smooth harmonic distortion when driven to the limit. The overall loudness will be reduced as the Class A as the EL84 tubes provides less output volume. So you can crank up your amp all the way and achieve best sonically performance at reasonable volume

The overall power output is ca.18 Watt.

Real PLUG & PLAY!

Switch off your amp, pull out the power tubes (6L6GC, 5881, EL34 or 6V6GT) and plug in TAD CLASS-A CONVERTER converters including their EL84 tubes, switch amp on. Done!
