For a clear and shiny treble response with defined bass and fluid lead tone with a good string attack we recommend this combination:

In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT030 TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE which is outstanding because of its high gain, low microphony, powerful middles and a round, rich overtone sound.

The preamp-positions V2 and V4 use our RT-12AX7 TAD 12AX7/ECC83 REDBASE Premium Selected. These tubes deliver very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. They are selected with balanced systems and improve overall response; best for clean tones, as well as sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.

In its latest version, our low noise tube, RT002 12AT7 / ECC81 TAD Premium Selected is the perfect tube for the V3 and V5 positions: a strong driver tube (V5) with a wounderful rich-sounding reverb driver (V3).

The RT832 TAD TAD 6V6GT-STR REDBASE power tubes cater for a detailed and powerful tone and full sustain; characteristics you would only expect from the finest NOS 6V6GTs. When pushed into saturation, there are no harsh upper mids, which is frequently the case with other 6V6s. Sweet full-bodied tone with silky highs.

Please set bias to 24mV at the test point. If the Bias was Setup with TAD tubes once You can simply re-order the same values next time. This makes a rebiasing of the amp redundant. With our TAD 6V6GT-STR REDBASE, 28mA are easily possible. That will lead to an earlier crunch.
