In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT030 TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE which is outstanding because of its high gain, but low microphony, powerful middles and a round, rich overtone sound.
In its latest version, our low noise tube, RT002 12AT7 / ECC81 TAD Premium Selected is the perfect tube for the V2 position: a strong driver tube with a wounderful rich-sounding reverb driver.
In the third position (V3) we recommend our S6AC10 6AC10 compactron tube as the phase inverter.
The matched pair of our RT232 6V6GTB-STR TAD PREMIUM Matched creates a detailed and powerful tone and an abundance of sustain; characteristics you would actually only expect from the finest NOS 6V6GTs. Even when pushed into saturation, there are no harsh upper mids, which is frequently the case with other 6V6s. Sweet full-bodied tone with silky highs. This tube is just perfect for all 6V6 applications where a powerful but sweet tone is desired.
Pre-amp tubes can be changed easily. For the power tubes, the bias has to be adjusted to ca. 25mA.
