But what’s the benefit of OFC? It provides lower contact resistance, which translates to less signal loss during transmission. Internal connections are gold-plated to ensure maximum conductivity.
Because of the reduced oxygen content, oxidation is minimized – meaning less corrosion and significantly improved longevity. But that’s not all: the low oxygen level also reduces unwanted signal distortion, delivering a clean, transparent tone.
