Warranty declaration for TAD-Tubes

1. Scope of Warranty
This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights and supplements them—where legally permissible—under the following conditions. It applies to tubes of the TAD Premium Selected / TAD Redbase® / TAD Blackplate® brands distributed by us, starting from the date of purchase (invoice date / delivery note).
2. Warranty Period
We grant a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase for each TAD Premium Selected / TAD Redbase® / TAD Blackplate® tube.
3. Warranty Services
In the event of a warranty claim, we will, at our discretion, either replace the defective tube with a functioning equivalent tube or repair the defect—where technically possible—at no cost to you.
4. Conditions for Warranty Coverage
The warranty is valid only if the following conditions are met:
a) You possess valid proof of purchase (invoice, delivery note, or other document showing purchase date and product designation).
b) The tube was used within the warranty period.
c) The damage was not caused by improper handling, accident, excessive stress, incorrect wiring, overload, tampering, or third-party interference.
d) The tube was used in an amplifier operated within the technical specifications provided by TAD / the manufacturer (e.g., operating voltages, sockets, socket wiring, output / grid resistors, etc.).
e) The defect occurred during normal, intended use and was not apparent at the time of delivery.
f) The tube was properly transported and stored (e.g., protected from strong vibrations, mechanical shocks, or extreme humidity).
5. Exclusions / Limitations of Warranty
The warranty does not cover:
• Defects caused by accidents, improper use, incorrect installation, or third-party interference
• Damage due to overvoltage, moisture, fire, or mechanical overload
• Cosmetic defects (e.g., scratches, minor glass imperfections, getter discoloration, contact marks from component testing) if functionality is not affected
• Damage due to neglect, improper storage, or vibrations
• Damage resulting from modifications or conversions
• Use under continuous extreme conditions beyond the specified limits
• Wear-related degradation of the product
6. Claiming Warranty Service
To make a warranty claim, please proceed as follows:
- Contact our customer service in the event of a warranty claim and provide:
o Your name and address
o Proof of purchase date and dealer
o Product name and serial number (if available)
o Description of the defect
o If applicable, photos or measurement data - Send the defective tubes only after being instructed to do so by the TAD team.
IMPORTANT! If the tubes are matched, always return the complete matched set. This is the only way we can ensure a fast and smooth processing of your warranty claim. If a defect is clearly identifiable in advance, we will cover the return shipping costs for end customers within the EU. If the issue is unclear, we will inspect the tubes and reimburse return shipping costs upon confirmation of the warranty case. - After examination, we will inform you whether the warranty claim is accepted. If accepted, you will receive either a replacement or a repair, depending on the situation.
- Return shipment of the new or repaired tube is free of charge (within the area covered by the warranty).
7. Effect on Statutory Warranty Rights
This warranty does not affect your statutory warranty rights. In particular, your legal rights remain in effect for defects that were present at the time of delivery (statutory liability for defects).
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability under this warranty is limited exclusively to the replacement or repair of the defective tube. Further liability, e.g., for consequential damages (e.g., downtime, other losses), is excluded.
9. Final Provisions
If any provision of this warranty statement is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
This warranty statement is valid from the date of purchase of the product.
