Tubeset for Orange AD200 with 6550

The tubeset for the Orange AD200 features our RT030 TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE in the first position (V1).

This valve is outstanding because of its high gain, but low microphony, powerful middles and round, rich overtone sound.

For the following position (V2), we recommend the new RT-12AX7 TAD 12AX7A/ECC83 Premium Selected which provides a stunning warm tone, thick midrange and sweet natural harmonics. Its low noise performance makes it the perfect choice for clean or moderate gain preamps as well as for high-gain amps.

In its latest version, our low noise tube, RT002 12AT7 / ECC81 TAD Premium Selected is the perfect tube for the V3 position.

The power stage of the Orange is equipped with a quartet of our RT884 6550A-STR Premium Matched power tubes for the most critical application with outstanding consistency and stability will deliver an incredible bottom end and rich mids. Smooth, liquid bass, natural sounding tone and a wide open character make this tube extremely popular.

The Preamp tubes in this set

I took a chance and bought these three preamp tubes,as my AD200Mk3 started to lack punch and response,in short it sounded a bit tired.I was lucky it wasn't the output tubes.These tubes are spot on! I have full confidence in the staff here,they seem to know what tey're doing.The Punch in the low end and mids is back and this amp has never sounded as good as this.It is more responsive and a great clear sound over a wider frequeny range than ever before.
