In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT030 TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE which is outstanding because of its high gain, but low microphony, powerful middles and a round, rich overtone sound. Played clean, the TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE delivers a warm liquid tone which is very responsive to dynamic playing.
 
The phase inverter in position V2 should be our RT-12AX7 TAD 12AX7/ECC83 REDBASE Premium Selected.
 
The input tube of the Vibrato channel should be our RT030 7025/E83CC HIGHGRADE TAD Premium Selected. This tube serves as the foundation for warm clean sounds with punchy mids and a fat overdrive sound with a smooth top end.
 
For the power tubes, we chose a matched pair of our RT272 TAD-EL84-Cz with high-class cathode coating, plate options and gold grid wire, and therefore overall reliability. The sound is very harmonic in the middle and treble frequencies, without adding too much power to the bass. The result is the best EL84 in current production.
 
Rectifier: The RT506 EZ81/6CA4 TAD PREMIUM SELECTED Rectifier Tube is a small rectifier tube for 6.3V filaments. It is used in smaller amps, such as the Marshall 1974X or the TAD 18W Plexi Kit, Silverstone amps and in various Hammond organ amplifiers. It is a true full power EZ81. Also used in many audio amps and in old tube radios.
