In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT030 TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE which is outstanding because of its high gain, but low microphony, powerful middles and a round, rich overtone sound. Played clean, the TAD 7025 / E83CC-Cz HIGHGRADE delivers a warm liquid tone which is very responsive to dynamic playing.
For the second position (V2), we recommend our RT-12AX7 12AX7A/ECC83 TAD Premium Selected. This tube delivers very good gain, tight, deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness.
For the power tubes, we chose a matched pair of our RT272 TAD-EL84-Cz Premium Matched with high-class cathode coating, plate options and gold grid wire, and therefore overall reliability. The sound is very harmonic in the middle and treble frequencies, without adding too much power to the bass. The result is the best EL84 in current production.
