Amp Kit Tweed Two-Twelve-40, 5E8 Style with ca. 40 watt power.

This Amp Kit is based on the legendary Fender Tweed Twin Low Power®

The Fender Tweed Twin Low Power® is a late-mid 1950s amp and featured the double-rectifier power supply exaclty like the earlier Bassman 5E6 models.

Also known as two input tweed Bassman.

This amp has a much bolder tone compared to the later higher power models and fits wonderful for big and warm clean guitar tones or fat growl when pushed a bit.

This 5E8-A type amp got popular by west-coast guitar players like Junior Watson and Alex Schulz but also Eric Clapton has been seen playing the vintage original.

By the way, this is also one of the best amps we've ever heard for Blues-Harmonica Harp playing.

No kidding, no feedback issues!

No effects required, just a good High-Z mic and if you have your guts together then the tone of William Clark or Rod Piazza can be easily achieved.

I build the kit a week ago.the componet quality is top notch!! And the sound: wow!!! The cleans are detailed and crystal clear!!! I swap the v3 with a ecc83 and the result: SUPERB!!!! Thanks TAD

I've ordered this tweed Twin low power kit with cabinet the monday afternoon and recieved it the wednesday. OUAHHH what a fast shipping!!

Very well packed, the amp kit and the cabinet. Before the order, I have sent several email to andreas from TAD, who has answer very quickly to my questions.

I'm not a technicien and this is the first time I build an amp. This is the first time I do electronic. BUT I have patience and I'm carrefull.

I needed two days to build the kit very easl. I put two jensen P12N on the cabinet.

What about the sound:

FANTASTIC!!!!!

I have an old fender bassman from 1963 (cream piggy-back) with a great sound, and the TAD twin kit has a very similar sound. Very smouth with much bass, presence and fantastic overdrive. I play gibson and fender guitar through it and this twin kit became my favorite concert amp.

Thanks to andreas and his team for this great amp project. It trully a fantastic vintage sound amp.
