[comment] => Das ist der ultimative Problemlöser wenn Ihr z.B. eine Gitarre mit einem sehr heissen Bridge PU spielt der sehr viel Output hat. Der cleane Kanal im Marshall JVM ist mit so einem PU (in meinem Fall ein DiMarzio X2N) einfach nicht clean zu bekommen. Das klingt immer "angezerrt". Der Tausch der Standard Röhre in V1 gegen die TAD 5751 bringt den gewünschten Erfolg. Man hat zwar dadurch auch etwas Gain Einbußen im Highgain Kanal, aber der JVM ist sowieso "overgaint". Bevor Ihr irgendwelche Kondensatoren abzwickt, probiert diese Röhre aus! Das passt für mich perfekt!

[comment] => Ich habe diese Röhre gekauft um dem Leadmodus meines Caliber 50+ etwas weniger Gain zu verschaffen.
Dieser Amp hat, wenn man so einigt Berichte im Internet liest, manchen in die Verzweiflung getrieben. Es ist im Grunde ein einkanaliger Clean Amp (mit sehr schönem Clean Tone, wie ich finde) und einer V1, die als eine Art eingebauter Overdrive zugeschaltet werden kann und den Rest der Vorstufe übersteuert. Leider ist mit der originalen 12AX7 als V1 das Gain recht hoch und weil es nur einen Gain Regler für Lead und Normalmodus gibt schwer einzustellen.
Mit der 5751 als V1 habe ich genau das bekommen, was ich wollte, nämlich etwas weniger Gain und eine differenzierte Ansprache des Gain Potis. Der Lead Sound wurde etwas offener und höhenreicher, teilweise schon fast zu harsch aber das lässt sich mit dem EQ bestens kontrollieren.

[comment] => Ich habe diese Röhre auf Empfehlung von Torben Müller in meinen Blues Junior als V1 eingebaut, um die spitzen Höhen etwas abzusenken. Ich bin absolut begeistert. Zusammen mit einem TwinStack mod, offenbart der Verstärker, auf meiner Strat, jetzt alle Nuancen. Von einem glockigen Fendersound bis hin zu einem fetten Rock. Zudem klingt der Verstärker jetzt nicht mehr so "boxig" wie mit den Original-Röhren. Ich habe Zugleich aber auch die anderen Röhren ersetzt (V2:RT008, V3: RT001 Endstufe, RT872). Dieses Set kann Ich wirklich jedem empfehlen, der das Gleiche erreichen möchte.
