EL84-STR TAD PREMIUM Matched
The all new TAD-EL84STR does combine best of both worlds. We did choose the thickest glass option (Mounting Diameter 22mm) and most heavy construction like the russian EL84M and sonically most promising cathode and plate option to meet and exceed the tonal quality of the EL84-Cz. Finally we added the gold grid wire to limit stray characteristics and to improve overall reliability. The result is the best EL84 currently produced. No compromise!

I really like their punch and their bass response

Not sounding as you expect from an EL84 valve. Enhanced bottom end and I don't like the way as it breaks up. Not creamy and silky. Some kind of "hotrodded" EL84. At least, they last.

Really good el 84 for metal and modern rock sounds it has a full range with good bass response sounds pretty much unlike most el84 types out there i have jj; mullard; amperex and all sorts of nos types to compare it to and I say this tube is a winner for different sounding good tone than what you would expect from an el84
